Web Site Award: Montgomery County (PA) Chapter
The Montgomery County Chapter launched its new Web site in January. The site connects alumni through the membership database, message boards, business advertising and more. It not only keeps area members informed, but it also helps in the outreach to other local alumni by informing them about chapter happenings and upcoming events. Since launching the site, the chapter has seen its paid memberships increase by 42 percent. The chapter now can easily communicate through e-mail and newsletters.

On behalf of the MontCo Chapter Board, we thank you for your support of our new website since its launch on January 2, 2007. Please feel free to send us your comments and suggestions for improvements. We hope you enjoy the features that our site adds to your Alumni experience.

Martin R. Cepeda Jr., President
PSU MontCo Alumni Association
Message to his chapter's local alumni, November 2007

At its core, The Magnet's technology delivers to the administrative staff a high degree of control over all types of maintenance tasks. In particular, the processes of content creation, membership tracking, event management, and other tedious day-to-day tasks are now mostly automated and/or distributed among the team. Before adopting The Magnet, Chase Alumni website required their Webmaster's time and intervention for most tasks. Now the Webmaster job is divided among several of the chapter's staff and volunteers, none of whom have--or need--more than minimal background in web design.

From its inception, The Magnet's architecture was designed with associations and alumni organizations in mind. The result is a suite of tools that covers exactly what corporate alumni associations need to shine with their members, according to Kelly Messner, The Magnet's Product Manager.
